NEET UG decides your score — but not your college. All India Quota, State Quota, Management Quota, NRI Quota and Deemed Universities each run on different cut-offs, timelines and fee structures. We help you read your rank correctly and choose the road that actually fits it.
Six things worth understanding properly — not skimming — before NEET UG counselling opens.
You need qualifying marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, minimum age of 17 by admission, and Indian nationality or applicable NRI/OCI status. Category-based relaxations apply to the qualifying percentile, not the exam itself. We check your specific case before you plan further.
NEET UG has a qualifying cut-off (percentile-based, varies by category) and a separate, much higher admission cut-off that changes every year by college and quota. A "qualifying" score is not the same as a "competitive" one — we map your score against recent years' closing ranks.
State Quota seats are largely reserved for domicile candidates of that state, with rules differing on what counts as domicile — birth, residence, or schooling. Getting this wrong can disqualify an otherwise strong choice, so we verify it early.
Admit card, NEET UG scorecard, rank letter, Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, valid photo ID, and passport-size photographs — all self-attested copies plus originals for verification.
Counselling typically runs across Round 1, Round 2, a Mop-Up Round and a Stray Vacancy Round, each with its own registration, choice-filling, locking and reporting window. Missing a single deadline can cost you a round entirely.
Total course fees can range from a few lakhs in government colleges to over a crore in private or deemed institutes. Decide your realistic budget band before choice-filling — not after you've already been allotted a seat. Try our budget calculator ↓
Every quota has a different audience, seat share and process. Here's the comparison we walk every student through.
| Quota | Best suited for | Approx. seat share | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| All India Quota | Competitive ranks, open to candidates from any state | 15% of govt. seats | Counselled centrally by MCC; no domicile restriction |
| State Quota | Candidates with valid domicile in that state | 85% of govt. seats | Rules & cut-offs vary significantly by state board |
| Management Quota | Moderate ranks, higher fee tolerance | Varies by college | Offered directly by private colleges within fee caps |
| NRI Quota | NRI candidates or NRI-sponsored applicants | Typically ~15% of private seats | Separate eligibility & sponsorship documentation needed |
| Deemed University | Candidates open to centralised private counselling | College-specific | Runs through a separate, combined deemed counselling process |
Not a one-time consultation — support that runs alongside the actual counselling calendar.
We go through your rank, category, domicile and budget together, and flag any eligibility issues before they become a problem mid-counselling.

We help you order your choices to balance ambition with safety — so a Round 1 miss doesn't mean losing the plot for Round 2.
Once you're allotted a seat, we make sure your paperwork and fee payment are sorted well within the reporting deadline.
We stay with you through physical reporting and final verification, right up to your admission being confirmed.

It depends on your rank, category, domicile state and chosen quota — all four move the answer. Use the rank checker near the top of this page for a starting estimate, then talk to us for a detailed shortlist.
All India Quota (15% of government seats) is open to candidates from any state and counselled centrally by MCC. State Quota (the remaining 85%) is reserved for that state's domiciled candidates and run by state authorities — with different cut-offs and timelines.
Yes — Management Quota, NRI Quota and select deemed university seats remain options at lower score ranges, though budgets tend to be higher. We help you weigh these realistically against your finances.
Usually four: Round 1, Round 2, a Mop-Up Round, and a Stray Vacancy Round. Each has separate registration and choice-locking deadlines, so a strategy for just one round is rarely enough.
Missing reporting after allotment can forfeit your seat and, in some cases, your security deposit. We track every deadline with you so this doesn't happen.
