14.West Bengal MBBS Choice Filling Strategy
- First separate the colleges into Government State Quota, Private State Quota, Management and NRI options according to your eligibility.
- For State Quota, confirm your domicile/proforma before filling choices.
- For Management Quota, domicile is not mandatory, but the candidate must meet NEET eligibility and complete WBMCC verification.
- Do not select an NRI route unless you can produce the required NRI/PIO/OCI documentation.
- Compare total cost, not just semester tuition: hostel, mess, security and other institutional charges can change the total budget.
- Use previous cutoff data only as a trend reference and always check the latest WBMCC seat matrix before locking choices.
